Dorchester Town Council manages six allotment sites across the town which offer plots of varying sizes and provide an affordable opportunity for residents to grow their own food.  The annual rents vary according to the size of the plot but are relatively inexpensive and there is a one-off administration fee for setting up a new tenancy agreement.

This site is made up of approximately 77 allotments and is accessible by car from Alington Road (opposite Max Gate).  We provide water troughs at this site.

This site is made up of 63 plots  It is not accessible by car.  We do not provide water troughs at Frome Terrace and this is accounted for in the yearly rent which is slightly lower than our other sites.

This site is made up of 40 half and quarter plots and is situated between Wessex Road and Hawthorn Road behind the water tower on Bridport Road.  The site is not accessible by car and parking in the nearby streets is limited.  We provide water troughs on this site.

This is the largest site we have consisting of 101 plots.  It is accessible by car from Herringston Road (opposite the Winterborne Hospital and the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust).  We provide water troughs on this site.  There are two small car parks on the site.

This site has 14 plots and is located off St George's Road behind the Town Council's Louds Mill depot.  There is a small car park and a water supply to the site.

This site consists of only 21 plots and is not accessible by car.  We provide water troughs on this site.

There are also two allotment sites located on  Poundbury, not operated by Dorchester Town Council, for details please contact:
