Football
The Council leases land at Sandringham Sports Centre to Dorchester Youth Football Club, who manage pitches of various sizes. If you would like to get involved in youth football visit their website.

Boules
There are boules areas located in the corner of the car parking area at Sandringham Sports Centre and at the Holmead Walk open space. These are free to use facilities which are regularly maintained by the Council.
The boules areas are available for use throughout the year and do not require booking.

Skate Park
Dorchester has a state of the art permanent concrete skatepark which was opened in April 2009. Open for free use everyday, the park is suitable for BMX, scooter and inline skates as well as skateboards.
Maverick Skateparks built the park with the project being led by Dorchester Town Council who own and manage the facility.
Funding for the park came from many areas - the Dorchester Skatepark Committee itself raised money towards the project with additional significant funds being provided by the Town Council, Big Lottery Fund, West Dorset District Council, Western Dorset Crime and Reduction Partnership and Dorset Youth Opportunity Fund with many other individuals and organisations providing smaller amounts of funding and help.
The skatepark is located at an area called Little Fairfield, Weymouth Avenue, Dorchester which is close to the town centre and Dorchester South Railway Station.
