Molly Rennie

South Ward

Molly was first elected to the Council in 1986.  She has been Mayor twice, in 1993-94 and again in 2003-04.

She is a member of the Management and Planning and Environment Committees. 

Molly represents the Council on the  Dorchester Markets Joint Committee.

Molly was awarded the MBE for services to victims of domestic violence and abuse in Dorset in the 2019 New Years Honours list.

Molly says ...

"I like to think that I have been able to be active, in may ways, within the community, over these years. I certainly have enjoyed meeting many of you. Trying to help whenever I can, not always achieving the 'ultimate goal' but doing the best we can, together. Please ask me and I will try to help. I truly believe things can always be done, far better, in partnership. I believe we can strive to do more together and will do my best to make sure the best happens within the community we live in and enjoy together."
