Robin Potter

South Ward

Robin was first elected to the Council in 1992 and served until 1995.  He was re-elected in 1999.  He was Mayor in 2006-07 and again in 2015-16.

Robin serves on Management Committee and chairs the Planning & Environment Committee.

Robin says ...

"I love Dorchester! Its green spaces and tree-lined avenues, its heritage, recent development and its people make it a community I am proud of. From the Jurassic Coast via Maiden Castle, Roman Durnovaria, John White, the Tolpuddle Martyrs and Thomas Hardy to Poundbury, there is so much of interest. And from play areas for youngsters to gardens, museums, restaurants and cinemas, there is much to enjoy. I aim to help the Town Council work with partners such as Dorset Council, NHS trusts, local businesses and the many voluntary organisations to maintain Dorchester’s place as a vibrant and happy place for residents, workers and visitors."
