"I have lived in Dorchester for 20 years and represented the new Poundbury Ward of Dorchester Town Council for five years. I was Chair of the Poundbury Residents Association from 2014-17 and I have a wide understanding of Poundbury and Dorchester issues. As a retired professor of surgery and consultant surgeon, I have experience of hospital management and local, national and international societies and associations, and I am still involved with teaching and research. I am a vice president of Dorchester Rugby Club and the Society of Dorset Men, Chair of the Brownsword Hall Committee with several interests in local charities and nature and conservation."
