Grants

Each year the Council gives grants to local organisations. The grants are usually fairly small, between £50 and £500, as the Council believes that the limited resources which are available should benefit as many people as possible.

The Council will usually only consider grant applications for specific projects rather than a contribution towards ongoing or revenue costs.

The Council's Grants Panel normally considers grant applications in June but the Panel will meet again later in the year if further applications have been received and there is still some money left in the budget.
