Andy has been a Dorchester Councillor since 1999, was Mayor in 2012 and stood as the Lib Dem Parliamentary Candidate for West Dorset in 2017.
He was Chairman of Dorchester’s Heritage Committee for many years, including being involved with plans to upgrade the Roman Town House and improve tourist signage. Andy was also Chairman of the group overseeing the town’s Transport and Environment Plan which has included transforming the lower half of South Street and improving major junctions such as Great Western Cross to give a higher priority to pedestrians, whilst keeping the traffic flowing. Andy has also been very supportive of the project to improve Fairfield car park.
