Dorchester Joint Burial Committee

In the interests of economy and efficiency the responsibility for administering Dorchester's cemeteries will transfer to the Town Council with effect from 1 April 2011.  The Dorchester Joint Burial Committee will be wound up at 30 June 2011 once it has approved the Final Accounts for the 2010-11 financial year.  Details of meetings over the last few years will be retained on the website for a period after the Joint Committee ceases to exist.

We should like to pay tribute to the work of the Joint Committee, and particularly the part played by the representatives of Winterborne Herringston Parish Meeting, since the Joint Committee was created in 1927.
