Susie was first elected to the Council in 2003.
She was Mayor in 2009-10 and is a member of the Policy Committee. She is also Vice-Chair of the Planning and Environment Committee and serves on the Community Activities, Property Management and Maintenance and Recreational Activities Panels.
Susie serves on the Dorchester Joint Burial Committee and represents the Council on the Dorchester Markets Joint Committee (of which she is Vice-Chair), the Promote Dorchester Group and the DTEP (Dorchester Transport and Environment Plan) Working Group.
Susie is also a member of West Dorset District Council.
